What is All the HOOPLA?
Synopsis
The Great American Hoopla!
When a certain Commander-in-Chief seizes the microphone and refuses to give it back, what follows is one raucous red-white-and-blue spectacular that puts the “great” back in “Great American Songbook”. Whether it wants to be there or not.
Part USO show, part rock concert, part fever dream. Five performers and a live band tear through the American canon. From Andrews Sisters classics and Irving Berlin tearjerkers to Creedence Clearwater Revival, Don McLean, and everything red, white, and unhinged in between.
The ghosts of presidents past have opinions. A certain Russian has crashed the party. And before the night is over, everyone who walked in unsure of how to feel proud of this country just might walk out differently.
One hour. Live music. Shameless spectacle. Blind optimism welcome.
Featuring Sophie Dimitroff, Kevin Kuska, Max Mckune, Sawyer Pierce, Annie Yokom and a live band. Presented at Petite Acres only, New Buffalo, Michigan.
